All of Salt Solution's songs that were recorded to a good standard (and some that weren't!) can be accessed here. With one exception all lyrics were written by Martin Day and are included on each song page. Grouping is by recording phases. Those songs that are not grouped into these phases are, for the most part, available as lyrics only. The 'Arctic Frosties' album was released as a retrospective in 2000. Several of the songs were in states of partial recording when Salt Solution disbanded in 1995 and it took a few years to get them finished off by recording individual instrument track in band members homes and by occasional visits to studios. Most of these recordings were made on the Band's own Fosdex 8-track reel-to-reel recorder. The exceptions to this were the three earlier studio recordings of 'Arctic Ostrich', 'New Life' and 'Your Country Needs You'. 1. The Straight Furrow 2. Your Country Needs You 3. Who is Mr. X 4. Before the name was changed the band adventurously attempted to record some of their songs in their practice halls direct to 4 track reel-to-reel. The result is this heavily stereo self titled 1983 cassette demo. 1. Taking His Own 2. Torn Leather Tearaway 3. When's it Gonna Change 4. 'E Never 'urt No-One 5. Dogslife 6. Sonbathing 7.
